How to take care of your Zelda M's:

LEATHER SHOES CARE:

1.  The foot bed is made from 100% genuine leather, so please bear in mind that you cannot get them wet because water causes the leather to swell, and they could separate. Keep your shoes away from water as much as possible, so don't use them as impromptu rain shoes and don't wash them with water to remove stains. Use a leather conditioner to remove stains.

2. After each use, wipe them clean with a soft cloth. This will remove any bits of dirt that may have stuck during wear. In case they have mud on them, gently wiping won't do, you need to use a leather conditioner to clean them thoroughly e.g., Howard leather conditioner.

3. In case they get wet due to rain, allow them to dry in the shade. Don't use dryers or put them in direct sunlight as this will damage the leather.

4. For pesky Odours from use or moisture, sprinkle a bit of baking soda and let it sit overnight. In the morning, simply shake it off and you are on your way.

Follow these tips and you'll likely have sandals that look and feel new for many seasons. The beauty of leather is in its ability to age like fine wine, so when it ages, it takes the shape and fit of your foot.

SUEDE SHOES CARE:

1. Make sure the shoes don't get wet, so don't make them impromptu rain shoes. Should they get wet, allow them to dry. Washing them with water can actually cause stains to set in the fabric.

2. After each use, wipe the dust off, and brush them using suede brush or nail brush to keep them clean and to avoid stains.

3. To remove those minor stains, use a rubber/eraser found in your stationery or you can use crepe protect eraser.

4. To remove those tough stains, you can wipe with vinegar or a suede cleaning solution e.g., Meltonian nubuck mouse.

5. Once the shoe is clean, apply a suede protector to keep it looking new and clean.

GLITTER SHOES CARE:

1.If your glittery sandal only need a light cleaning you may choose to clean them at home. If so, use hairspray to protect the glitter before washing.

2. Lay your sandal on top of a towel and hold the hairspray 10 inches above the surface. Carefully mist the surface. Repeat after the first coat dries.

3.  Gently wipe shoes with a clean, soft cloth to dislodge any dried dirt.  Prepare a mixture of soap and cold water and gently scrub the glitter with the toothbrush.

4. Allow to dry in a shade.

5. Store glittery clothes and shoes in garment bags to prevent the glitter from transferring to other items.

Glitter is especially fragile since it is glued to the surface of a fabric. Without the proper care, the glue may dissolve and glitter may flake off.
